LeAP: Leadership with Accountability and Possibilities
This is a leadership development experience for individuals to release best possibilities and inspire personal accountability for success in life and work. LeAP focuses on the role of the individual in cultivating deep self-understanding, empowering attitudes, emotional self-awareness and courage to act. It facilitates shifts in the following areas: from passivity to accountability, negative to positive emotions, risk adversity to learning from risks, limitations to possibilities, self-doubt to self- belief, anxiety to comfort with ambiguity and lastly from the position that “my world is created for me” to the position that “I create my world.” There are different versions of the LeAP program for teenagers and adults.

Target Outcomes:

  • Deep self-understanding, including one’s strengths and possibilities
  • Realize their personal accountability in life
  • Reframe disempowering to empowering beliefs
  • Comfort with anxiety and ambiguity and act courageously
  • Commit to a personal goal and work towards



Flawless Consulting

This is a guide to being effective in the workplace by building collaborative relationships and trust. This is based on the ideas of Peter Block’s best selling book, “Flawless Consulting”. These workshops are for people in a position of having influence without direct control, e.g. individuals in human resources, training, information systems, finance, safety, purchasing and engineering etc.

 

The objective of Flawless Consulting 1: Contracting is to develop skills that increase participants’ ability to have a strong and positive impact on their clients’ business results.

Target Outcomes:

  • Negotiate more effective working agreements with your clients
  • Develop commitment from your clients
  • Work more in a partnership role with your clients
  • Develop the ability to assertively express your needs for successful partnership
  • Gain better use of your expertise

The objective of Flawless Consulting 2: Discovery is to develop feedback and decision support skills.

Target Outcomes:

  • Practice a data collection or discovery model
  • Deal with resistance in the data collection or feedback phase
  • Gain skills in turning recommendations into a decision to act
  • Increase client’s commitment
  • Identify methods for mapping out action steps with client prior to implementation

The objective of Flawless Consulting 3: Implementation is to develop skills to engage management and employees together to genuinely commit to a new course of action.

Target Outcomes:

  • Choose engagement over mandate and directio
  • Break through cynicism by creating new conversations
  • Handle resistance and not take public dissent personally
  • Learn the limitation of answers and how to use questions to confront people with their own fredoom

Building Accountability and commitment
This workshop provides six critical conversations to open participants to the possibility of creating a common future with their organization. A future where accountability is chosen, ownership is co-created and individuals are committed to the success of the organization with no promise of personal rewards.

Target Outcomes:

  • Understand the impact of a personal choice for accountability
  • Develop the strategy and tools for creating a culture of accountability
  • Develop the skills to change your conversations
  • Learn how to deal with cynics, victims and bystanders
  • Develop a plan to begin creating a culture of accountability



Appreciative Inquiry

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a change process which can be applied to individuals, groups, and organizations. AI is a strength-based way of thinking and experiencing the world. AI methods stress looking for finding what is right in a situation, what causes pride, and what is worthy of celebration.

Target Outcomes:
  • Apply AI to organization situations, e.g. coaching, performance management, team development, conflict resolution, mergers and acquisitions, strategy and culture change
  • Utilize storytelling as a way of making meaning and changing culture
  • Be able to shift a conversation from a problem framework to an appreciative perspective
  • Develop an action plan to bring the methodology, practice and values of AI to the organisation
